Blue Apron Introduces a Family Plan, Doubling its Addressable Market

Blue Apron today announced that it has expanded its product offering to include a Family Plan, featuring seasonal, balanced, kid-friendly recipes designed to serve a family of four. With this new product, Blue Apron is doubling its addressable market and furthering its mission to make incredible home cooking accessible to customers nationwide.

“Since we started the company, families have been asking us to create a plan specifically tailored to them,” said Blue Apron Co-Founder and CEO Matt Salzberg. “With the launch of our new Family Plan, even more families across the country can now make Blue Apron a part of their weekly routine.”

This expansion marks the latest milestone for Blue Apron. Last month, Blue Apron announced it was delivering over one million meals per month, opened the doors to its largest fulfillment center in New Jersey and introduced the Blue Apron Market, a curated e-commerce store that features kitchen tools and cookware hand-selected by the Blue Apron culinary team.

The Blue Apron Family Plan offers the flexibility of receiving two or four meals per week, allowing families to choose the best option for their household. “Our Family Plan recipes are designed to appeal to both kids and parents alike,” said Blue Apron Co-Founder and COO Matthew Wadiak. “At Blue Apron, we truly value home cooking, and we’re excited to offer a new way for families to share the experience of cooking and eating together.”
