So many people learn to cook from their moms, and this Mother’s Day, we want your mom to teach us a thing or two.

For the next two weeks, we’re asking you to tell us about the best dinner your mom cooks. Does her chili con carne beat all the rest? Give us the dish. If her shrimp scampi with roasted potatoes is incredible, we’ll take a plate. Is her green-bean-and-chicken casserole just the tastiest thing in creation? We want to hear about every last creamy bite.

What’s in it for you? The winner gets mom’s dish tested, photographed, and featured in one of our boxes and receives that week’s box for free. You’ll also get two 12-inch copper casserole pans from JB Prince, one for you and one for mom! (The pans are a $195 value, and we think they’re warm, cozy, and ideal for baking and serving gratins, casseroles, and lasagnas.)

The recipe can also be from grandma or another motherly figure in your life. Tag @Blue Apron and also tag @[YourMom] if she’s on Facebook, to make her feel super special. Contest ends May 14, 2013.

A few final details: to be eligible, mom’s meal must be able to be adapted into an approximately 35-minute, Blue Apron-style dinner recipe that’s easy to prepare, complete, balanced, and seasonal. You do not need to be a Blue Apron subscriber to enter.
