We have answers.
With Meal Prep delivery, you can still expect chef-designed dishes that use high-quality, pre-portioned ingredients, and easy-to-follow recipe cards. However, we’ve redesigned the process to better suit your busy life.
If you’ve ever tried to make the recipes in our typical Blue Apron boxes all at once (like traditional meal prep), you may have found that it’s hard to follow multiple recipes at once and have everything come out well. This meal prep plan makes things easy—our chefs streamline the cooking of multiple recipes to create one easy-to-follow process that yields the most food in the shortest amount of time. The best part? You get variety instead of eating the same thing day after day.
We’ve specifically chosen proteins, recipes, and cuisines for your meal prep kit that lend themselves well to being made ahead of time and enjoyed/reheated later. Our unique ability to help you create many different dishes keeps meal prep interesting throughout the week.
Note: Unlike other Blue Apron boxes, Meal Prep kits are scheduled for Fridays.
You’ll need 16 storage containers to hold your food and sauces—8 on the large side and 8 smaller containers for sauces and garnishes. We recommend glass for reheating.
We’ve designed our meal prep recipes to require minimal kitchen equipment—just one pot, pan, and up to three sheet pans will be needed to cook these recipes. A few mixing bowls will also be helpful.
Round out the above-mentioned tools with a cutting board, peeler, and a knife. You’ll also provide the olive oil, salt, and pepper that you normally have on hand.
Don’t forget to clear out fridge space to hold all of your meals!
