Salmon contains a whole lot of good-for-you nutrients and fats. The dinner mainstay can also turn almost any ingredients–noodles, greens, or a sandwich–into a completely satisfying and all-around nutritious dinner. 2. Salmon Rolls
The winner of 2013’s Mother’s Day contest, this recipe comes to Blue Apron from a reader…well, actually her mother. Though you wouldn’t expect to top fish with marmalade, the combination of ingredients really works to set this dish apart from the usual pairings.
The original recipe for Caesar Salad was invented one evening in Tijuana when a chef’s supplies were running low. That version didn’t include anchovies, and neither does ours–we top the greens and croutons with salmon instead.
This salmon version of the New York City classic uses the same distinctive spice rub that makes beef pastrami meat great: a blend of brown sugar, coriander, ground mustard, black pepper and paprika. The salmon is then tucked between toasty bread slices with Russian dressing and a bright slaw.
When fishermen in the south of France returned home from a long day of fishing, they wanted to create a delicious dish without using the most profitable fish of the day’s catch: the result of that desire is this stew. You can use any fish, but we love including salmon on the ingredient roster.
